Professor Mufit Ozden

CSE 241 Comupational Modeling

Dr. Ozden was born in Turkey. He has been on the CSE faculty at Miami University since 1984. He had his Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Ozden's teaching area is simulation, mathematical modeling, and programming languages.

His research area includes bioinformatics and computational biology besides modeling of manufacturing and service systems. Recently, he was involved in development of a new clustering technique and computer programs that could be used for the Avian Flu as well as possibly other contagious viral diseases. He is an active member of a Miami University research team which is developing software tools for genomic sequencing.
